Why are some stations and content not always available in TuneIn Radio & Podcasts?

Modified on Mon, 3 Jun at 11:00 AM

You may not be able to collaboratively listen to a station for one of the following reasons:

  • The station may be streaming in a format that is incompatible with Discord.
  • Check if you’re using a VPN, they may cause issues with the broadcasters stream
  • The station may restrict the territories where the broadcast is available, so one or more participants in the activity may be based in a country/IP where the station does not offer its content.
  • Because of licensing restrictions, stations may not broadcast certain shows or sporting events over the internet. When this happens the stream may be silent or play a different show altogether. Some broadcasters offer different programming on their streams in different markets, so you might hear different content than your friends even if the station is available to all of you.
